Inzwischen hat viele Informationen zu Bienen, zum Bienensterben zur Bienenrettung und zum Imkern veröffentlicht. Dabei haben wir immer wieder unsere Philosophie der Nachhaltigkeit betont und auf die Wichtigkeit des Umweltbewusstseins hingewiesen. Dieses Bewusstsein sollte bei unserem Denken und Handeln immer im Vordergrund stehen. Dazu gehört auch die Sorgfaltspflicht der Imker. Es ist uns klar, dass es oft schwierig ist, neue Denkweisen mit alt eingefahrenen Strukturen zu vereinbaren. Allerdings muss man immer offen sein für Neuerungen, wenn man nicht zum ‘alten Eisen’ gehören möchte. Und wer will das schon..? Reden wir hier also einmal über die Sorgfaltspflicht der Imker…
Wenn wir über eingefahrene Strukturen beim Imkern sprechen, denken wir zunächst an Bienenhaltung und Honigernte. Denken wir aber auch an die Sorgfaltspflicht bei der Imkerei? Haben wir immer im Hinterkopf, was das Wichtigste ist – nämlich die Gesundheit und das Wohlergehen der Bienen?
Wenn wir es einmal genau analysieren, behandeln wir häufig die Bienen nicht anders, als Landwirte ihre Kühe, Hühner und Schweine. Sie sind Einnahmequellen und sichern unseren Unterhalt. Der Profit steht klar im Vordergrund. Dann kommt das große Lamento: Die Bienen sterben. Natürlich sind Parasiten und Pestizide Schuld.

Was tun wir aber, um unsere Bienen davor zu schützen? Wir nehmen ihnen den Honig, der ihnen Kraft verleiht und ihr Immunsystem stärkt, um ihn durch Zuckerwasser zu ersetzen. Das entspricht nicht der Sorgfaltspflicht. Mit einem guten Immunsystem könnten die Tiere sich viel besser schützen und würden möglicherweise nicht massenhaft sterben.
